After six years of independent professional practice, Paulo Cruz Almeida and Augusto de Albuquerque de Athayde have joined forces and opened a joint office. The complementarity of their know-how and a common way to face the bar in general and client servicing in particular, resulted in an immediate implementation of this office as a reference.

The partnership was later on materialized through the creation of the firm Almeida & Athayde - Sociedade de Advogados.

Since the beginning the office adopted a boutique law firm positioning, investing in the expertise and customisation of the relationships with the client. The visibility acquired within the Portuguese market and Portuguese-speaking countries resulted in 2006 for the firm to be invited to be part of the London Kennedys network as associated office.
