After having practiced Law separately for six years, in Lisbon and in Cascais, Paulo Cruz Almeida and Augusto de Albuquerque de Athayde opened their own Law Firm on February 1997.

On July 2001, the two partners decided to incorporate Almeida & Athayde - Sociedade de Advogados, a Law Firm based in Lisbon.

In May 2006 became associated
office  of  London.
